MWP is a small, intentionally-limited studio designing weddings, retreats and milestone celebrations for clients who live and love across borders.

That is the work of MWP: The Nomad Experience, Elevated. Cultural intelligence curated without borders. We read a place before we ever choose a venue, its rhythm, its people, its quiet local geniuses, then design a moment that feels earned, not borrowed.
From Portuguese palaces and French châteaux to London townhouses and Zanzibar shores, every gathering is held together by the same instinct: a belief that the best events do not follow a template, they translate a person, a brand, a family, into a place they have never fully seen before.
The Founder
Rugie Wurie, and a studio built on how a room feels.
15+ years of destination weddings taught her the discipline: read the place first, choose the people carefully, and hold every detail to one standard. MWP is that practice, carried into retreats, milestones and gatherings of every kind.
She works with a small number of clients each year, in person, from the first unhurried conversation to the last guest leaving. Weddings, retreats, family milestones and cultural moments, designed end to end and held together by relationships built over years, not sourced from a directory.

This practice didn't begin in a boardroom. It began in celebration, in communities, in cultures, in the stories families tell at the table long after the music has stopped.
That idea grew into a universal language. A signature experience, earned from cultural DNA, delivered against one uncompromising standard of quality, unique to every client who trusts us with their moment.
It started in ballrooms. It never stayed there.
We handpick our venues and locations, spaces where architecture, food, and beverage meet with real taste, and where hospitality surpasses all. We work with people who love what they do. You'll remember their names. Their faces.
Along the way, we've found gems in Portugal, Italy and Zanzibar. These are the kinds of spaces that only surface through relationships, never through a search.
Because true excellence was never just about how responsibly the wine was sourced. It was about how it was served, the pour, the pace, the presence in the room. It was about how the waiters carried themselves. Excellence isn't one grand gesture. It's in the details no one is meant to notice, because they simply feel right.

We spent over a decade as Mrs Wedding Planner, quietly building destination weddings across the UK, Portugal, Italy and the south of France. The craft of a wedding is still the spine of everything we do.
Evolution
Grown into the rest of life.
Clients kept coming back: honeymoon retreats, anniversaries, birthdays in a palace, small off-sites with their team. MWP is the atelier that answers all of those questions from one desk.
